On May 8th, “𝗔𝗜 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽” workshop, organized by Prof. Shahar Kvatinsky and Prof. Raja Giryes (Tel Aviv University) was held at the Technion campus in Sarona, Tel Aviv, with hundreds of engineers and students from the Israeli industry and academia.
The workshop dealt with the required changes in computer hardware to accelerate the computation needed for AI models such as Transformers.
Many lecturers from various companies (Nvidia, Apple, Samsung, Rafael, Mobileye, Speedata, Hailo, Habana Labs, Amazon) and academia talked about the different aspects of chip and computer design for AI in data centers and edge devices, including the development of suitable algorithms for hardware and new computing paradigms inspired from the human brain.
